“Swamp Thing” Partocaster

The “Swamp Thing” was constructed as a workhorse blues guitar.

Given Stevie Ray Vaughan’s ‘Pride and Joy’ as a audio template, the plan was to build a light-weight, straight ahead Strat style guitar without any radical finishes or head-spinning wiring.

The specifications very quickly started to head into Fender Custom Shop price territory with features like a swamp ash body, compound fretboard radius fretboard and Seymour Duncan California 50’s single coil pickup set.

We were able to put together a unique instrument that will blend into any blues player’s arsenal.
