Project Gemini Custom Build
Ever since PCJ began quality controlling the Chapman Guitars ML-1 stock at Andertons a plan had been formulating…
After sourcing one of the last B-stock ML-1s it entered the workshop…
The result: Project Gemini
The project allowed a look at some design issues that double neck guitars have, the major problem being how to balance the whole instrument correctly.
Putting 18 tuners at the end of two necks would seriously unbalance the whole guitar.
Borrowing an idea from the Washburn N8, the drone strings were flipped around and one of the set of six tuners could then be mounted on the body.
